Beginners Swim Lessons

While you may be hesitant to enroll your child in swim lessons before they’re able to walk, there are so many benefits to learning to swim, swimming instruction and baby aquatics.

For starters, Aquafin swimming lessons can reduce the risk of accidental childhood drowning. Since drowning is the leading cause of accidental death in children under 4, it makes sense to provide opportunities for your child to learn to swim.

Beginner Stages: Tadpole, Duckling and Goldfish.

Tadpole

Parent and child work together to develop the foundational skills crucial for learning to swim and promote safety in the water.

The Tadpole level at Aquafin is designed to be the best possible introduction to the water for your baby. With parent/carers as the co-teacher in the pool, in a small friendly group of like-minded parents, your baby will learn through a structured lesson to develop safety, confidence and coordination in the water.

Infants and Toddlers

These classes are designed for parents and infants or toddlers to work together to learn the foundational skills crucial for learning to swim and promoting water safety.

Lessons start as early as 3-months-old, we will work with you and your little one to develop skills such as being comfortable in the water, breath control, floating and kicking. We work in group sizes of 6.

All of these skills will help your child begin building foundation water safety skills and confidence in the water.
